Training the cats

My kittens are almost 6 month old. They are very inquisitive and open to new learning experiences. I purchased a “Cat Throne” which is a regular Bemis toilet seat with an extra fold down insert with a smaller opening for the cats to use for their “business” There are three removable trays that fit in the opening. The first is sealed, the second has a small opening and the third has a large opening

The idea is to convince the cats to use the litter in the tray (it is flushable) until they are comfortable using it. Then replacing the tray with the ones with the holes till they get used to seeing the hole. Clever idea if it works.
